We’ve been really fortunate to have found a wonderful vegan community in Atlanta and have made so many wonderful friends. We first met David and Luce last year at Veg Fest, where Luce was a volunteer and David was a speaker. (Check out David’s healthy vegan website.) We made plans to get together for dinner at their house and, after chatting at a potluck, decided to have Indian food for dinner. I made a batch of Naan (Vegan Eats World) and brought the loaves over with us uncooked so we could have them fresh from the skillet. Luce blew us away with three different, and equally amazing entrees and a delicious seasoned brown rice dish. We feasted on Aloo Gobi (potatoes and cauliflower), tofu and peas, spinach with chickpeas. Everything was delicious – Luce is a great cook! It’s such a treat to share a home-cooked meal with friends (especially vegan friends who make such yummy food!). After dinner, David whipped out the Vitamix and made a cherry-chocolate sorbet that was so good, we had to get some frozen cherries to try it ourselves at home. !). It was so much fun to visit with them and I when I peeked at Luce’s cookbook collection, it looked very familiar…
