A few weeks ago, we got a big bunch of basil in the CSA box, so naturally, I made a batch of pesto. We only used about half of it, so I decided we would make another pasta and veggies dinner. I picked up a small bunch of broccoli, sliced up some mini bell peppers we had on hand and chopped some onions and garlic. We also had some homemade pasta in the pantry, so of course we used that. My mom got me a pasta attachment for my KitchenAid for my birthday and it gets a lot of use around here. It takes a little time to make fresh pasta, but it’s worth it. Anyway, once the veggies were prepped I let Seth take over. He always makes the salad and garlic bread (the bread is the 8th Deadly Sin, I’m sure of it), and the kitchen isn’t really big enough for two people to work in it, anyway. He sautéed the veggies perfectly – so they were just tender, but still crisp. Once those were done and the pasta was cooked, he just tossed the pasta and pesto with the veggies and, presto! Dinner!
